Invisalign
Start transforming your smile right from your first appointment.
The innovative Invisalign method is a brace-free orthodontic treatment that is performed using transparent aligners, i.e., specially designed plastic membranes.
In this method, successive transparent, numbered and sealed splints are manufactured that are changed by the patient himself.
They change according to the case, which depends on the severity of the problem and age.
The splints are manufactured for each patient separately and individually in the Align Technology laboratories in the USA.
In order to manufacture the aligners, an impression of the teeth is initially required.
Our clinic has the advanced intraoral scanner iTERO, that takes the impressions digitally, in order to avoid the classic silicone ones that are annoying for the patient.
By using the intraoral scanner, the patient has the ability to see the final result of the treatment, even from the first appointment.
The complete treatment plan is then carried out and each tooth movement is determined by the orthodontist on the computer.
Once the treatment plan is approved, the aligners are manufactured by the Align Technology laboratory.
It is important for the patient to know that the orthodontist is the one who determines and plans each tooth movement, not the computer.
Therefore, the experience of each doctor plays a decisive role in this technique, both in the desired result and in the duration of the treatment.
Advantages
- The splints are made of transparent hypoallergenic acrylic and are in full contact with the surface of the teeth
- This means that they are not visible, while at the same time they are very well tolerated by you
- Thus, during the treatment, you do not face any problems either at work or in your social life.
- They can be removed easily and quickly when there is an important personal, professional or social meeting
- They do not impact oral hygiene, as we can remove them during the day after meals, brush them and clean them with diluted mouthwashes, just like our oral cavity to maintain pleasant and fresh breath
- They do not injure the lips and gums.
- A short adjustment period, if any, lasts about two 24-hour periods
